X-Ray Bottles, by Suzanne Scott - from 6th April 2012
Suzanne Scott is a self taught artist currently residing in Dundee.
Suzanne’s collection of X-Ray Bottles are made using traditional darkroom techniques… with a twist! Each piece is unique and a true one-off as they are all hand developed and hand finished.
The Bottles featured in their own exhibition in February last year in Brighton, which was a great success and were also in Pittenweem Art Festival. They, amongst her other work, can also be found in several shops and galleries in Scotland. Suzanne is also part of Angus Open Studios.
"My inspiration comes from life and everything around me. I love the phrase ‘it’s the little things in life that count’ because it really is true. It’s the little details in daily life that capture my interest a lot of the time.
My business is called WhimSicAL LusH. A suitable name really as my work has been described as rather whimsical. One day I enjoy drawing, painting and knitting or creating original photograms in the darkroom. I also turn my hand to screen printing and weaving too."
If you want to get in touch with Suzanne to ask about commissions, inspiration or anything else X-Bottle related, then please feel free.
